At my house, the funniest part of Thanksgiving is hearing everyone say they couldn’t possibly eat another bite. Then dessert comes out… and somehow the plates reappear, haha!

I always like having something familiar on the table, especially for the people who have been thinking about pumpkin pie since October. But it’s fun to add something different too like a cheesecake you made the night before, a warm dessert coming out after dinner, even a little chocolate treat with coffee can be enough to get someone interested again.
And if I can give you one Thanksgiving dessert tip, make something ahead. Seriously!! A dessert that’s already chilling in the fridge feels very good when dinner runs late and the kitchen looks like a tornado passed through it. If your family has pie people, chocolate people, and that one person who insists they’re too full… Give them ten minutes… they’ll get there!!
1) Pumpkin Pie in a Jar by Sally’s Baking

Pumpkin pie without cutting a single slice? These little jars layer creamy pumpkin filling with spiced cookie crumbs and you can get most of the work done ahead of time. Just add spoons after dinner and let everyone claim their own… no arguing over who got the bigger piece!
2) Pumpkin Cheesecake by Natasha’s Kitchen

If your family loves pumpkin pie and cheesecake, this one makes the decision pretty easy. The filling is rich and creamy with plenty of warm spice, and that cinnamon graham crust is exactly what we want underneath it. And you can make it the day before… Thanksgiving dessert being completely finished feels very good.
3) Pumpkin Tiramisu by Love and Lemons

Pumpkin tiramisu sounds a little unexpected, but it can absolutely fit on a holiday table. The ladyfingers soak up chai flavor while the pumpkin mascarpone stays soft and creamy. Best part? It actually needs that overnight rest, so making it ahead isn’t cheating… it’s the plan!!
4) Sticky Toffee Pudding by Belly Full

Cold Thanksgiving night? Bring this out warm and nobody is complaining. The soft date cake gets covered in warm toffee sauce, and that alone is enough to make room for dessert again. A scoop of vanilla ice cream melting on top? I wouldn’t say no.
5) Pumpkin Pecan Pie by Spend With Pennies

Can’t decide between pumpkin pie and pecan pie? And why should you have to? This one gives you the smooth pumpkin layer underneath and that sticky pecan topping on top. Using a store-bought crust keeps the whole thing from becoming another Thanksgiving project, which I fully support.
6) Cranberry Tartlets by xoxoBella

These little tartlets bring such a nice pop of color to the table. The cranberry filling is bright and tart, which is especially good after a rich dinner. You can put them out on one big platter and let people help themselves… seconds included!
7) Easy Turkey Cookies by On My Kids Plate

Okay, no baking, lots of candy, tiny turkeys… this is a very easy win with kids. Fudge-striped cookies turn into little birds with chocolate faces and candy corn feathers, and, the slightly wonky ones are usually the cutest anyway. Make extra!
8) Praline Pumpkin Cake Roll by Mom On Timeout

It just looks impressive the second you slice into it. That pumpkin sponge wraps around a cream cheese filling and the praline topping gives it a little extra crunch on top. Chill it well before serving so you get those neat swirls instead of a pumpkin landslide, haha.
9) Cranberry Pretzel Salad by Semi Homemade Kitchen

Salad is doing a lot of work in this name, haha. What you’re really getting is a salty pretzel base under a creamy layer, with cranberry on top to keep everything from feeling too sweet. It has that old-school holiday charm, perfect!
10) Bourbon Sweet Potato Cake by Tornadough Alli

Sweet potato cake already sounds cozy, then the bourbon comes along and makes it feel a little more grown-up. The Bundt shape makes it easy to serve to a crowd too, which is helpful when the dessert table is already getting crowded. Let the glaze settle before moving it… trust me on that one!
11) Apple Dumplings Using Crescent Rolls by My Rad Kitchen

Warm apples wrapped in buttery pastry… this is exactly the kind of dessert that makes the kitchen smell like Thanksgiving. Crescent rolls keep things wonderfully easy, and all that cinnamon sauce bubbles around them as they bake. Bring the pan out warm and watch how quickly the ice cream appears!
12) Pumpkin Souffle by Chew Out Loud

No crust, no slicing, and still plenty of pumpkin?? This is a fun change from the usual pie. The soufflé comes out of the oven beautifully puffed with a soft center, so I’d serve it while everyone is still gathered around the table. Don’t worry if it settles a little… soufflés like to be dramatic.
13) Cranberry Chocolates by An Edible Mosaic

Got a little cranberry sauce left over? Here’s a much more exciting plan for it. That tart cranberry filling gets tucked inside a crisp chocolate shell, making these perfect with coffee after dinner. I also love the idea of sending a few home with guests… assuming there are any left.
14) Rice Pudding by Downshiftology

After a huge holiday dinner, sometimes a simple bowl of something creamy is exactly right. This rice pudding has that familiar cinnamon flavor and you can serve it warm or chilled, depending on what your family and guests likes. And small bowls work nicely here, people can always come back for more!
15) Canadian Butter Tarts by Budget Bytes

These little tarts have a flaky shell with a gooey brown sugar center… and yes, the raisin debate is apparently included, haha. Luckily, you can leave them out if your family is firmly on that side. Their small size is perfect when everyone wants to just try three different desserts.
16) White Chocolate Bread Pudding by A Pinch of Healthy

Bread pudding already feels made for a chilly holiday night and the white chocolate makes this one extra creamy. You can get the whole pan assembled earlier too, then bake it while everyone is finishing dinner. By the time coffee is ready… dessert is warm and waiting!
17) Vegan Pumpkin Ice Cream by Purely Kaylie

Ice cream at Thanksgiving? Absolutely! This pumpkin version still feels right for the season, and coconut milk keeps it creamy without any dairy. Make it well ahead, then give the container a few minutes to soften before everyone starts scooping.
18) Chocolate Covered Strawberry Turkeys by I Heart Naptime

Okay, these little turkeys are really ridiculous and cute, haha! Chocolate-covered strawberries get tiny pretzel legs and marshmallow details, and suddenly dessert has a whole personality. Just dry the berries really well before dipping… melted chocolate isn’t very forgiving about water!
19) Apple Cider Donut Cake by All Things Mamma

If apple cider donuts are one of your favorite fall treats, this cake is going to look veeery tempting. You get that cinnamon-sugar coating all around a soft Bundt cake without frying a single thing. Brush it with butter while it’s still warm so plenty of that sugary goodness sticks.
20) Pear Cranberry Crisp by Skinnytaste

And after all the creamy pies and cakes, something warm and fruity sounds pretty perfect. Pears soften the tart cranberries as they bake, and that crisp topping is exactly where my spoon is going first. Serve it warm if you can… especially if there happens to be ice cream nearby.
21) No-Bake Cranberry Fluff Pie by Together as Family

No oven space left?? This pie does not care, haha. The filling is light and creamy with plenty of cranberry flavor, and that little bit of orange keeps it from feeling too sweet. Let it chill while everything else is happening… dessert basically takes care of itself.
22) Sweet Potato Pie by Well Plated

This one keeps things classic, with sweet potato filling is smooth and warmly spiced, and with just enough orange zest to brighten it up a little. Bake it ahead and serve it at room temperature… one less thing to think about when dinner gets busy.
23) Vegan Pumpkin Pudding by Tasty Oven

Ten minutes and dessert is handled? That should get your attention haha. This pumpkin pudding is creamy but without eggs or dairy, so it’s especially useful if you have a few different dietary needs around the table. Portion it into little glasses and chill until everyone suddenly remembers they have room for dessert.
24) Pumpkin Custard by The Feathered Nester

Love pumpkin pie filling more than the crust? The custard bakes up smooth and silky in individual ramekins, which also means nobody has to worry about cutting neat slices. Chill them well, then add whatever topping feels right before serving.
25) Chocolate Pomegranate Dessert by Wholesome Yum

After all the pumpkin and spice, a little chocolate feels very welcome. These mousse cups are rich without being too heavy and the pomegranate gives each spoonful a bright little pop. Bring out the whole tray at once and watch how quickly dessert becomes everyone’s new priority!
Thanksgiving dessert always makes me laugh a little. Everyone is completely full… right up until someone starts cutting pie or brings out something chocolate. Then somehow there’s room again! You don’t need a huge dessert table either, just pick one family favorite, add something a little different if you feel like it, and let everyone argue over which one deserves the last serving.
And if you try one of these this year, come back and tell me what disappeared first. I’m always curious about the dessert that quietly steals the whole Thanksgiving meal!
