Peanut Butter Swirl Brownies

Ingredients
  

For the brownies:
  • 1 cup unsalted butter melted and slightly cooled
  • 1 ¾ cups granulated sugar
  • 3 large eggs room temperature
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all‑purpose flour
  • 1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ cup mini chocolate chips plus extra for topping
For the peanut butter swirl:
  • ½ cup creamy peanut butter
  • 3 tablespoons powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons milk

Instructions
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line an 8x8‑inch baking pan with parchment paper, leaving an overhang.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together melted butter and sugar until smooth. Add eggs and vanilla, whisk until glossy.
  3. Sift in flour, cocoa powder, and salt. Fold until just combined. Stir in ½ cup mini chocolate chips.
  4. Spread batter evenly in prepared pan.
  5. In a small bowl, mix peanut butter, powdered sugar, and milk until smooth. Drop spoonfuls over the batter, swirling with a butter knife.
  6. Sprinkle extra mini chocolate chips on top.
  7. Bake 28–32 minutes, until a toothpick inserted comes out with moist crumbs.
  8. Cool completely before slicing. For clean cuts, chill before slicing.

Notes

  • Store at room temp for up to 3 days in an airtight container.
  • Refrigerate for up to 5 days for a denser texture.
  • Freeze individually wrapped for up to 2 months.
