PREP: 20 minutes
TOTAL: 20 minutes
Servings: 4
Course: Dessert

Ingredients

For the waffle bowls:
  • 4 waffle bowls
  • 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
  • 1 teaspoon coconut oil optional for shine
For the filling:
  • 2 cups brownies cut into bite-sized chunks store-bought or homemade
  • 2 cups whipped cream or whipped topping homemade or store-bought
  • 1 ½ cups fresh strawberries sliced or halved
  • ½ cup strawberry syrup or glaze store-bought or homemade
Optional homemade strawberry glaze:
  • ½ cup chopped strawberries
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice

Instructions

  1. Melt chocolate chips with coconut oil in 30-second bursts in the microwave. Stir until smooth.
  2. Dip waffle bowl rims into the melted chocolate and set upside down on parchment to harden. Chill to speed up.
  3. Prepare the brownies by cutting them into small chunks.
  4. Slice strawberries and set aside. For homemade glaze, simmer chopped strawberries, sugar, and lemon juice over low heat until thickened.
  5. Make whipped cream by beating heavy cream with sugar and vanilla until soft peaks form.
  6. Layer brownie chunks into the bottom of each waffle bowl.
  7. Top with whipped cream and sliced strawberries.
  8. Drizzle with strawberry syrup or glaze.
  9. Serve immediately and enjoy!

Notes

  • Assemble just before serving so the bowls stay crisp.

  • Make chocolate-dipped bowls a day ahead and store in a cool spot.

  • Use coconut whipped topping for a dairy-free option.
