Ingredients
For the dough:
- 1 cup 175 g all-purpose flour
- 1 ½ tsp baking powder
- ½ tsp ground cinnamon
- ¼ tsp salt
- 3 tbsp brown sugar
- 1 large egg
- 3 tbsp melted butter
- 2 tbsp honey
- 3 tbsp milk (add an extra spoon if needed)
- ½ tsp vanilla extract
For the coating:
- 3 tbsp granulated sugar
- ½ tsp ground cinnamon
- 1 tbsp melted butter
Optional glaze:
- ½ cup powdered sugar
- 1 tbsp milk
- ¼ tsp vanilla extract
Instructions
- In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, cinnamon, salt, and sugar.
- In a small bowl, whisk the egg, melted butter, honey, milk, and vanilla.
- Pour the wet ingredients into the dry and stir until a soft dough forms. It should be slightly tacky but not sticky.
- Roll into small balls (about 1 tablespoon each) and place on parchment paper cut to fit your air fryer basket.
- Preheat the air fryer to 350°F (180°C). Cook for 6–8 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through, until golden brown.
- While warm, brush with melted butter and roll in cinnamon sugar.
- Optional: drizzle with the quick vanilla glaze and let it set before serving.
Notes
Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 days. To reheat, air fry at 320°F (160°C) for 2–3 minutes. Freeze uncoated bites for up to 2 months.
